Sitting here in my lovely modern offices, right at the top of the building. I have a great view - when the blinds are open! We have no control over this, as everything in the building is automated, so depending on which way the sun is shining, the blinds go up and down or open and close, of their own accord, it gets me every time! Anyway, right in front of me I can see the Aviva Stadium in all its glory, to my right, I can see the Grand Canal Theatre and to my left, I can see the sea (OK, that's actually a lie, there are too many buildings in the way, but I know it's there!!) and I can see clearly the two chimneys at Ringsend. Behind me is the dock, but I have to turn around to see that, what a hardship!!
The Script are playing in the Stadium tomorrow night, and right now we are being treated to the warm-up bands rehearsal/sound check. I can hear them perfectly and I am just trying to figure out who they are. I will have to dig deeper to find out! The Corona's are also playing support, so hopefully I will get to hear them rehearse too. And if I stay here long enough, who knows, I might get to hear the Band themselves.....
So while I am typing away here, I get treated to great views and great sounds. What a cool place to work!!
