Stuff

Why do people slow down when approaching the 'barrier free toll' on the M50, it so an upside down six (that's annoying (a 9), for anyone who doesn't have a teenager handy to translate!)

Speaking of teenagers, I won't have one around the house for very much longer.  No, he's not leaving home just going to be 20 soon!  Should I be sad or glad.  Does it mean when they turn 20 that they suddenly become an adult and do adult like things, like slow down on approach..........oh wait!

Three witches just knocked on my door, typical, never a witch around when you want one and then three come together.  I like Halloween, it's the only day of the year that I don't have to wear a mask! :-)

  1. For the second year in a row I will have no callers to the house on halloween. Will be left with a big bowl of goodies that nobody in their right mind would eat for fear E numbers. I don't know why children say 'trick or treat' when they call to the door because they never do a trick, all they want is the treats - greedy little brats - and then its none of your traditional fare of apples and nuts, no it has to be a party bag!!. Oh God! I sound like a grouch, but I actually don't mind the children calling.
The worse thing about Halloween is the trauma the dog suffers because of unheard (unheard to human ears that is) fireworks. She shakes and doesn't know where to put herself. She generally tries to squeeze herself under one of the beds. Ah well.........

As for 20 year olds leaving home.......... well, Good Luck with that one. I had one leave home only to return six months later.

As I speak (type) there are sounds of children shouting out on the road, The door bell rings, the dog barks. I open the door to tiny noisy witches with bags of goodies bigger than themselves.
