'B'Limericks

Ok, somebody is trying to steal my thunder.......Now I'm not one to name names, but Deridre you know who you are.

So, I throwing out a challenge to all you readers (reader?).

See if you can beat Deirdre's attempt!!  I, of course, already did.

  1. There was a young girl who drank Moet,
    And not really terribly slow.
    She kept letter writing,
    And the boss doting,
All the while earning some dough.

  2. Well this is a mystery, she mused
An anonymous blogger has me confused
    A 'he' or a 'she'
    Well now, lets see,
a puzzle that must be defused...

  3. So, anonymous blogger, do we have a contest on our hands.........

  4. Who dares have my Limericks contested,
    Challenged the Moet-drinking, newly yellow-vested.
    Not just letter-writing,
    Nor terminal-snagging,
She's determined not to be bested.

  5. Who dares to contest my crown?
To my brow comes a slight frown!
    So if "Anonymous" outstrips
    and my popularity dips,
In my sorrows I'll have to drown....

  6. Or how about:
    The challenge has been accepted!
And I am determined not to be bested.
    With my quick witted lines,
    I think that you'll find,
My 'Crown' will not be contested!!

  7. So she responded with quantity and speed,
In a (vain) attempt not to concede.
    But tis quality will eclipse
    Among other tips
So now anon is back in the lead.

  8. Anon is doing 'his' best
To beat Shivs at this contest.
He will have to try harder
    And be very much smarter
As the crown on my head does still rest!!

  9. This matter could try even Confucius
Is it Limericks or identity - I'm curious.
    Let's get on and write,
    S(H)e you might smite,
And save you being so suspicious.

  10. You really are very clever!
    And I'm curious too, however,
I had to look up 'smite'
    And try as I might,
I wont qive up my quest, not ever!

  11. They told us a storm was a-coming,
And so to readiness we got going.
    But nothing wild came,
    In truth only rain,
Now from under the bed we're emerging.

  12. Shivs is becoming quite prolific.
And indeed her verse is quite terrific.
    In Limericks purely,
    A winner surely.
    She is scaling heights mesmeric.
